CheaperTrip AI (“we”, “us”) is an AI-powered budget travel search and booking platform. This page explains what data we collect, why, and who we share it with.

What we collect

• Account data - your email and password when you sign up (password is never stored or seen by us directly - it's handled by our authentication provider, Supabase).
• Trip searches - origin, destination, dates, budget, and preferences you enter, sent to our travel data providers to fetch results. Anonymous searches aren't linked to any account.
• Saved trips and chat history - if you're logged in and choose to save a trip or use the chat assistant, that content is stored linked to your account so you can come back to it later.
• Flight booking details - if you book a flight, we collect the passenger's name, date of birth, email, and phone number to pass to the airline. Payment card details are entered directly into our payment provider's secure form and never reach our servers.

Who we share it with

We use the following providers to operate the service. Each only receives the data it needs to do its job:

• Supabase - accounts and database (EU-hosted)
• Duffel - flight search and booking
• Hotelbeds - accommodation search
• Foursquare - activity search
• Groq - powers the AI chat assistant
• Vercel and Render - hosting for our website and backend
• Hostelworld and Booking.com - if you click through to book accommodation, their own tracking applies once you leave our site

Cookies and tracking

We use your browser's local storage to keep you signed in - no third-party advertising cookies on our own pages. Links to Hostelworld or Booking.com carry an affiliate tracking parameter so we can be credited if you book - their own cookie and privacy policies apply once you're on their site.

Your rights

You can view and update your preferences from your Profile page at any time, including deleting your account entirely, which removes your profile, saved trips, and chat history. To request a copy of your data or ask a question about this policy, contact us at privacy@cheapertrip.ai.
